Type 697 Gaffer-Tape is a matt cloth tape. It is water resistant, sticks good on different surfaces and it is easy to tear by hand.

It is used especially for on stage and back stage jobs in the theatre, opera, etc. It is also used for temporarily fixing of cables on carpets etc. and for marking floors.
